Very often, when we are faced with the monstrosity of an evil we become overwhelmed by it. It seems to great, and we seem so insignificant. We cannot help wondering, what can I do?
This question can be asked two ways. One, it can already decide that there is nothing you can do. Realistically we look at the problem and decide there is nothing one person can do about it. What can one person do against a throng made of thousands people, supported by legal laws and upheld by unimaginable profit? The other way you can ask yourself is with a mind that does not ask for a revolution, but many tiny victories. Nothing monumental was ever done alone, but a army of committed individuals, each taking a stand. Defeat is a mindset, and it is the first obstacle that is overcome.
Harriet Beecher Stowe said, "But what can an individual do? Of that, every individual can judge." This is being said by the women who was said to have caused the American Civil War. What can you do? You can use your voice in your realm of influence. You can work in the community you are in. You can judge as a person, and then lead by example. Once you realize that you are capable of action, then exactly what is to be done becomes evident before long. You never know, one voice might just make the difference in one life. And one changed life is a changed world.
"Often a small ignored spark has started a fire." ~Q. Curtius Rufus
"Your just a fool to think you can change the world, don't listen to them when they say it.....The smallest thing can make all the difference. Love is alive. Don't listen when they say it." Carrie Underwood "Change"
